Small answers for a hard day.
The shortest path is usually the kindest one. Here is what the launch PWA does, what it cannot promise, and where to start when you return.
Starting
Do I need an account?
No. The free tier's local loop works without an account. An account is only needed for optional sync and account services.
What should I capture?
A title is enough. Add one to three tasks, choose an estimate if you have one, and let the app offer a small next action. You can correct the recommendation.
Returning after a pause
What happens when I leave focus?
Your last stop point and focused time are saved locally. On a later eligible return, Nudges Work offers Resume, Choose another, Rest, or Leave for later. It does not shame, escalate, or keep a score.
Why did a deadline notice not interrupt me?
During a locked focus session, deadlines appear as quiet, non-blocking notices. The current task stays stable so a new urgency does not break the session.
Offline and sync
Can I use the app offline?
Yes. Capture, recommendation, focus, recovery, reset, and all interfaces use local state first. Sync operations wait in a local queue and retry later; they never block a local action.
Why is another device not up to date?
Confirm both devices are online and signed in to the same account. Sync is polling-first and can show a pending state while it retries. A conflict is surfaced in plain language; the app does not silently replace task text.
Launch limits
Does Nudges Work connect to my calendar?
Not at launch. Calendar read support is a post-launch candidate and is not used to make current recommendations.
Will reminders always arrive?
No. Browser notification delivery is best effort and depends on permission, device settings, browser support, and network state. The in-app reminder list remains available.
Does the app provide health or clinical advice?
No. Nudges Work is a task-initiation tool, not a medical service. Use professional care for health questions.
